Running, bowling and gobbling at Palmilla


Scores of folks took part in the Port Aransas Turkey Trot at Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Club on Wednesday, Nov. 26. A bunch also took part in Gobble on the Grand, a family-friendly mixer connected with the Turkey Trot, on Tuesday, Nov. 25. All proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit Trinity-by-the-Sea Episcopal Day School.

Port A shows spirit

Homecoming events had everyone showing their Marlin spirit. Homecoming celebrations started Monday, Nov. 17, and ended on the last day of the Marlin Classic, Saturday, Nov. 22.

Pickleball passion

YDF hosts benefit tournament

The Youth Development Foundation (YDF) of Port Aransas hosted a pickleball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Port Aransas Community Park courts. The doubles tournament raised money to support YDF’s activities including youth leadership programs, scholarships for Port Aransas High School graduating seniors, the Young Entrepreneurs Market and Project Graduation. Port A thanks local veterans

Port Aransas saluted its military veterans at its annual Bill Lehmann Memorial Veterans Day Ceremony. The event featured guest speakers, who praised veterans, patriotic music and, of course, a whole lot of red, white and blue. Folks packed bleachers in the Doyle Marek Gym at Port Aransas High School for the occasion on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Trunk or Treat!

Many dozens of little monsters descended on Roberts Point Park on Thursday, Oct. 30. Drawing them was Trunk or Treat, an annual Halloween oriented event sponsored by the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department. All about wooden boats at Wooden Boat Festival

The 2025 Wooden Boat Festival took place Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24 to 26 at Roberts Point Park. It was hosted by the Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association (PAPHA).
